My mom has kidneycancer too - so I know how bad U are feeling.
In Denmark, the doctors don't think Chemo can help , sorry to tell U that
. But I belive it depends on what type of renalcancer your father has, and I know that there are trials where they are trying different kinds of chemo. Sometimes it is possible to shut of the bloodsuply to an organ for some hours, after adding chemo into an organ, so that the concentration of chemo in the chosen organ will be high. And maybe that can help?
The other treatments I know are: Operation, cryoablation (local freezing), radioablation (local heat-treatment), proteinkinaseinhibitors as Sutent, Nexavar and Torisel, vaccination, dendritic cell vaccination and immunotherapy (Interleucin2+Interferon).
Some of these treatment depend om the number of metastaces and where they are, and others depend on your fathers healt. Some of the treatment are so hard, that U have to be in good shape to get the treatment.
