AW: Erfahrungen mit Tarceva??

weiß aber dass es hier im Forum 'englisch-Fittere' gibt
1 The first time he was on Tarceva, he responded very well and was on it from May 06- March 08 (21 months). In March 08 we found that the cancer was progressing and since then he has had whole brain radiation for brain mets, and 1 round of taxol & abraxan,(clinical trial) and the last 6 weeks he had 2 rounds of alimta for bone mets in spine, pelvis & hips, lymph nodes as well as the lung. We just found out that the cancer is still progressing in the bones although the lung and brain looks better but our doctor is talking about going back on Tarceva... has anyone ever heard of this? Thanks for your response!

Metastasen in Knochen weitergewachsen, aber Lunge und Kopf besser.
Doktor will wieder Tarceva wechseln.
2 it's probably a good decision to go back on tarceva if he initally had a very good response. in such patients, tarceva does not usually stop working entirely; it's just that a portion of the cells become resistant to tarceva. So it may not have been right move to ever stop tarceva, but at this point, it would not be surprising if it were effective again.
wenn man zu beginn eine sehr gute Antwort auf Tarceva hat, dann lohnt sich ein erneuter Versuch, da nicht alle Zellen resistent werden.
Sinn gemäß würde ich beide Beiträge so interpretieren, dass es zumindest das Wachstum weiterhin verlangsamt. und vielleicht sind ja die von 'Alimta' übrigebliebenen Krebszellen wieder sensibel auf Tarceva.
Bitte verbessern, wenn falsch übersetzt !!!
